Public Transportation
Public buses are plentiful and inexpensive with 4.00 Baht minimum and 25 Baht maximum fares to most destination within metropolitan Bangkok.
Air-conditioned buses within respectively. Red and grey microbuses are also air conditioned, cost 20 Baht for a single journey.

Taxis
Hotel taxis have fixed tariffs. Taxis on streets of Bangkok, and designate "taxi-meter" cabs charge 35 Baht for the first 3 Kilometers and approximately 5 Baht for every kilometer thereafter. Be sure the driver turns on his meter when you get in the car.
Tuk Tuks
or three-wheel taxis, are quite popular among tourists for short journeys inside Bangkok, Fares range from a minimum of 30 Baht to a maximum of 150 Baht. Fares must be negotiaed.
River Taxis
There are many boats navigating the Chao Phraya River Some criss-cross between landings on opposite banks while the Chao Phraya Express boats travel upstream and down stream within the metropolis. Fares range between 5 and 15 Baht.
Sky Train
The Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) is a new choice of public transportation in Bangkok. The speedy train eases traffic congestion in the business areas of the capital. It consists of two major routes;: the Sukhumvit and Silom line with an interchange at Central Station (Siam Square).
The train runs daily from 6.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m the fares range from 10 to 40 Baht depending on the distance of the journey. Look for the BTS sign in the city to locate the train station.
